Optimization of technological processes
In the form of technical assistance or within its service activities, E-therm TZ performs optimization of its technological processes, mainly thermal processes.
The first step is to analyze the existing thermal processes, i.e. mainly
- measure the fuel consumption and determine the specific heat consumption of the analyzed equipment in normal operation
- determine specific heat consumption in reference operation of the equipment of the given type and in faultless condition (from known data of new equipment, by means of analytic models, etc.)
- compare the actual state of affairs with the ideal one and enumerate the losses due to the unsatisfactory condition of the equipment
- find out where the energy losses come from – e.g. damaged refractory linings and heat insulation, incorrect setting of the burner combustion conditions, furnace leakage and incorrect pressure control function in the furnace, incorrect setting of other governors or their parameters, as well as e.g. unsuitable modes of operation, etc.
In order to evaluate heat leaks, we can carry out thermovision scanning of the equipment surfaces and obtain a map of the surface temperatures.
Based on the carried out analysis, the drawbacks of the equipment in service and its parts can be figured out, in particular those drawbacks that can be remedied within service activities or by means of a major repair of the equipment, depending on the seriousness and complexity of such drawbacks.
